This boat was rarely if ever used. Someone must have bought the boat and decided to get it usable. As for the eye protection it’s the responsibility of the employer to provide the PPE, but it still comes down to the worker to use it. If they don’t use it that’s when the employer should act.

I should point out that these are NOT barnacles, but Zebra Mussels.
It's an invasive species from Asia that has infected all of the Eastern lakes and water canals.
My parents had a large boat in the lakes of Southern Ontario, and went on a trip throught the waterways that connect thousands of lakes and rivers..
And the infestation is everywhere.

I would have scraped them off.and then presure wash it would have taken 1/3 the time .
